Who doesn’t love ice lollies at this time of year?! However, with such a high sugar content in many popular shop bought ice lollies, we thought we’d recommend a healthier yet tasty version of the classic ice lolly that the little ones will love.
Makes 5 ice lollies
200 grams of puréed strawberries
50 grams of sugar or a tablespoon of maple syrup or honey
1/2 cup of water
1. Put the water and sugar in a sauce pan and bring to the boil (or until the sugar dissolves) If you're using maple syrup or honey, do exactly the same
2. Once the water and sugar (or maple syrup/honey) are fully mixed, stir in the strawberry purée
3. Pour the mixture into ice lolly moulds, or use plastic cups and put a wooden lolly stick in each one
4. Put them in the freezer for at least 3 hours.
