For those of you whose children take pack lunches to school or to out-of-school clubs, putting them together last thing at night, or during the morning rush can just be one thing too many (!) So, we’ve put together a list of easy and healthy ideas to help spruce up their lunch boxes.
The most important thing is to keep each lunch box really simple, and using fresh ingredients is one of the best ways to do this.

Try to think of each lunch box as a mini rainbow, so the more colour the better. Keep protein and some carbohydrates as the base (we like chicken, eggs and pulses, and maybe some wholemeal pasta) and a chunk of cheese is always a winner!
Some seasonal fruit and a handful of nuts are a great accompaniment, and if there’s nothing left in the fruit bowl, Bear Nibbles’ brand new fruit and vegetable ‘claws’ are really delicious and an easy vitamin booster.
Next time, why not go to the shops together so you can prepare their next lunch boxes with them, that way they can learn more about the benefits of a balanced diet and have some fun at the same time!
