Easter Chocolate Rice Cakes
Easter nests (and lots of eggs!) 


With Easter just round the corner (yippee!) we thought we’d share a really fun and easy recipe to celebrate this time of year! This is something the kids (and you!) will love, plus it’s a great way to get them in the kitchen. Next up will be a guide in washing the dishes ;)



Makes 12 chocolate Easter nests

Preparation time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes

150g shredded wheat, rice krispies or cornflakes
150g cooking chocolate (milk or dark)
1 bag of mini eggs
12 cupcake cases!

1. Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it in a bowl
2. Mix the shredded wheat, rice krispies or cornflakes with the melted chocolate
3. Spoon the mixture into the cupcake cases and make a nest shape in each one using a teaspoon (this is for the mini eggs!)
4. Put them in the fridge for 2 hours (or until they have set)
5. Decorate each nest with the mini eggs - 3 or more work well
6. Enjoy!
